A World Wide Exstravaganza
Just a couple of days ago there was an event that was literally seen around the world. And, it had nothing to do with politics or your typical world events. It was the Super Bowl - the championship game of the National Football League. It is amazing just how this one game has grown into such a mass media frenzy. Those in foreign countries stay up late into the night just to find out how it all comes out. Some, are actually not into the game itself, and tune in just to see the hoopla that goes along with it. They want to see the half time show, or some just want to see the commercials, of all things. One thing that amazes me is the fact that people can tune in from virtually any place on the globe. My how we have come a long way in technology. As I was thinking about this special event and the interest around the world, my mind quickly went to a day, still in the future, that will captivate the world as well. There will be no grand fan fare leading up to this day. As a matter of fact, it will come as a complete surprise to everyone, even those who are anxiously awaiting it arrival. The day that I am referring to is the "Rapture". The day when Christ comes to get His Bride - the Church. What a day that is going to be when all of a sudden, there is a shout that is heard around the world. Graves begin to burst open, as the dead in Christ begin to arise. Planes will fall from the sky because the pilot has disappeared. Cars will collide and when they check the vehicles, to their amazement, one has no driver. People will be standing on a street corner conversing when in the blink of an eye, one has vanished. Yes, this will be the greatest of all world wide events, and it is essential that you be ready. Don't be left behind!
